Assess surfaces for tripping and slipping hazards including exposed footings, roots, rocks, sand on walkways, and poor drainage. Check wooden and metal slides for splinters and heat risk. Inspect for vandalism, broken glass, peeling paint, and unsafe fencing. Monitor sandpits and play areas for animal feces, poisonous plants, mushrooms, and standing water.
