WUC Roof Frame Inspection Checklist

Use this checklist to inspect roof framing work in line with approved layouts and manufacturer details. Verify trusses, bracing, battens, fascia support and gutter readiness. Check laminated trusses are nailed as specified, eave overhangs set at 450 mm from first floor stud walls and 600 mm from ground floor stud walls, and bottom chords are 20 mm clear of non load bearing walls. Confirm slotted brackets fixing trusses to non load bearing walls at 1800 mm intervals, double hip battens in hexagon areas, and outriggers installed to support fascia and gutters. Ensure roof bracing is looped over and nailed to the top plate underside, box and valley boards are in place, and hoop iron over garage walls is nailed to the top plate. Avoid strap bracing across skylight locations. Capture photos, record comments, and collect supervisor signature and date.
