Ensure quality and safety during roof truss installation with this QAQC checklist. Verify approved shop and truss drawings, confirm use of a spreader bar, inspect trusses for shipping damage, and check correct fastener counts at truss and bearing points without over tightening. Confirm fasteners are placed in the proper clip holes, install X bracing at a maximum spacing of 20 feet, complete all bracing by end of day, and add lateral load bracing. Validate trusses are plumb and level, confirm jack truss connections to girder trusses, and recheck bracing before sheathing. Finish with site cleanup, a walkthrough with the general contractor, comments, and inspector sign off.
