This structural steel inspection report template helps site teams verify critical items during steel erection and finishing. Check base plate elevations and locations, confirm column hold‑downs and torque, and validate elevations of horizontal framing. Review bolted connections for correct materials and torque, ensure plate washers cover slotted holes, and assess weld filler materials and completed welds. Document NDE results and post‑weld heat treatment, confirm vertical and horizontal bracing, and verify exterior siding supports. Ensure temporary supports are removed, miscellaneous steel such as ladders and platforms is installed, grouting is complete, and coatings and fireproofing are touched up or repaired. Use the checklist to record findings, add notes and photos, and flag corrective actions for follow‑up.
