Use this Standard 18 monthly inspection form to assess the safety of quarry haul roads and edge protection. Verify stability of faces above and below haul routes, road width, potholes and obstructions, containment bunds, and drainage to prevent ponding. Note new excavations, tips or lagoons near haul roads, and any hazards affecting users. Check for 1.5 m edge protection and adequacy of temporary protection during soil movements. Record concerns, defects requiring geotechnical notification, recommended remedial actions, and sign off.
