Use this SMEC site safety inspection checklist to assess construction site compliance across housekeeping and storage, hazardous substances, barricades and fencing, safety signage, fire extinguishers, first aid and amenities. Verify operator certifications, weekly inspections, SWMS or JSA coverage, training, NCR and CAR management, and incident reporting. Check PPE use, safe access and egress, electrical registers, test and tag status, platforms with rails and kickboards, secured ladder access, fall protection, excavation shoring, overhead power line controls, utility locating, traffic control plans and inspections, and plant condition and site specific requirements. Close out actions from previous inspections.
