Use this checklist to close down a construction site securely at the end of each shift. It guides teams to check fencing and hoarding, confirm contact and safety signage, inspect metal sheeting and coverings for damage or refixing, and look for signs of unauthorised access. Verify scaffolding is visually safe with no loose components. Follow security steps including removing or securing tools and equipment, storing materials, locking welfare and office areas, switching off power where required, securing buildings, and ensuring all operatives and visitors have signed out. Capture completion sign-off.
