This checklist supports pre use inspections of podiums, ladders, and stepladders to help prevent falls. Verify required health and safety labels and manufacturer markings, and inspect welds, legs, tubes, rungs, platforms, and feet for cracks, distortion, dents, corrosion, or missing parts. Confirm users are competent, the work area is free from obstacles and trailing cables, and the equipment will be used on a flat, stable surface. Record inspection reference, vehicle registration, date, findings, signatures, and set the next inspection date.
