Permasteelisa Group Audit Communication and Engagement
by Kenneth Polson, from the Community
This audit template supports Permasteelisa Group teams in evaluating the effectiveness of safety communication and colleague engagement across sites and factories. It reviews how safety information is shared, including inductions, toolbox talks, training and incident reporting, and checks that safety boards are updated. It assesses understanding of behavioral expectations, fairness and consistency of discipline, and the presence of a no reprisal stop work policy. The checklist encourages two way communication, employee participation in safety meetings and observations, positive recognition for safe behavior, prompt feedback on suggestions, and monitoring of metrics such as the unsafe acts index.
