Lifting Operations Compliance Checklist (LOCC)

Use this Lifting Operations Compliance Checklist (LOCC) to standardize pre-lift checks and documentation. Verify a lift plan and expiry, establish a safe working area, and confirm the appointed person and lift supervisor per BS 7121. Record operator licenses, slinger and banksman presence, and daily checks. Capture HIAB certification, sling and chain serial numbers and certificates, and ensure equipment is in date. Confirm method statement and risk assessment are signed, assess ground conditions and spreader mats or plates, add photos as evidence, and complete sign-off for compliance.
