HSQE 41 - Tarmac Sign Off Checklist
This HSQE 41 tarmac sign off checklist helps construction teams verify ground preparation and surfacing before handover. Items include excavation to formation, service runs, backfill and compaction, sub-base specification and CBRs, Terram requirements, Type 1 levels, intermediate thickness, drainage components such as manhole lids, gully tops and ACOs, kerbs and edgings, and checks for base and wearing courses. Capture snagging, site notes, and formal acceptance with signatures from client and contractor.

The V-WIS022 Kerbs and Channels work inspection sheet standardizes quality and compliance checks for road and civil works. Capture contract details, drawing references, and supporting documentation, then verify pin levels, sub-base compaction, bedding mortar, line and level, drop kerbs and quadrants, haunching and backing concrete, drainage to gullies, and overall appearance. Includes checks by subcontractor and principal contractor with final pass confirmation.

Use this civil works checklist to plan and assess footpath drainage and kerb and channel activities. Verify trench alignment, line, level and depth. Specify approved backfill materials such as GAP 65, GAP 40, AP 40, AP 20 and F2, and record staged compaction with Clegg results. Check pipe support, jointing to manufacturer specifications, discharge and manhole connections, and drainage layer heights. For footpaths, confirm subgrade CBR targets, basecourse thickness, concrete strength and thickness, surface finish, expansion joints, line marking and reinstatement of berms and surface covers. Include vehicle crossings, haunching, pointing, seeding and catchpit sealing.
