Inspection Test Plan for Non Essential Equipment
by James Porter, from the Community
This Inspection Test Plan helps teams commission and verify non essential electrical equipment in line with AS/NZS 3000. Capture client and project details, equipment ID and conductor size, then record required inspections and tests: visual checks, earth continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, and labeling. Reference the relevant clauses, note test equipment used (ohm meter, insulation resistance tester, test lamps or multimeter), and confirm programming for VSD, EC, or DOL. Log motor kW, amps, nominal speed, set auto or manual modes, verify run and fault status, and set TOL where applicable. Use this template to standardize documentation and improve safety and compliance on site.
