This IDI Shaftwall Quality Control checklist supports QAQC inspections for shaftwall installations. It helps inspectors verify updated drawings, RFIs, and specs; confirm MEP riser inspections are signed off; and check fire damper framing per manufacturer data. It covers verifying studs, drywall, and shaftliner materials per plans; bottom track attachment; staggered liner panel joints; liner panel top set 1 inch below top track; liners fastened to J-runners; mineral wool installed for firestopping; and minimum 1/8 inch firestopping spray thickness. It also prompts cleanup of cartons and scrap, a site walk with the GC superintendent, comments, and final sign-off.
