HB Projects Pre-Start Initial Site Survey

This pre-start initial site survey checklist supports construction teams in planning safe, efficient project setup before works commence. Capture site location and scope, surrounding environment, access and delivery routes, security and hoarding needs, utilities and service isolations, ground surveys, ground conditions, and compound layout. Record operating hours, temporary power and water, material storage, offloading facilities, and segregation requirements. Assess health and safety risks including asbestos, hazardous waste, public interface, dust and noise controls, and emergency arrangements. Plan project specifics such as craneage, concrete pumping, groundworks, demolition, confined spaces, and designed temporary works like scaffolding, propping, and excavation support. Include work at height controls, roof access, MEWPs, rescue plans, and store-specific items like lifts, sprinklers, and lighting to standardize preconstruction readiness and compliance.
