Full Body Harness and Lanyard Examination
by Mark Ainsworth, from the Community
Use this Full Body Harness and Lanyard Examination checklist to complete regular six month inspections of fall protection equipment. Verify identification labels and traceability, check D-rings, buckles, karabiners and other hardware for corrosion, cracks and sharp edges, and inspect webbing and stitching for cuts, burns, chemical damage and wear. Confirm shock absorbers and fall indicators have not deployed, record defects, add photo evidence, and decide if equipment is safe to use or must be removed from service. Capture inspector details, dates and signatures for compliance.
