This AGL 2022 ladder inspection checklist helps crews assess the safety and condition of stepladders, extension ladders, and specialty ladders. Record model numbers and assign ladders to users, then check steps or rungs, rails, labels, spreaders, pail and top shelves, rung locks, shoes and feet, and rope or pullers. Inspect hardware and fasteners for rust, corrosion, looseness, or damage. For platforms and scaffolding, verify hinges, locks, bracing, rivets, rail shields, casters, and outriggers.
