This Take 5 pre-start checklist helps concrete pumping crews prepare for safe operations on site. Verify required PPE, confirm team competence and SWMS sign-on, and establish exclusion zones and clear communications. Inspect outrigger locations and ground conditions, check for overhead power and other hazards, and complete all pump prestart checks including connections, safety clips, hopper cover and emergency stop access. Agree on excess concrete and washout areas, then capture contractor sign off before commencing work.
