Daily Mobile Plant Inspection Checklist

Use this checklist to conduct daily inspections of mobile plant and construction equipment, including excavators, loaders, dumpers, rollers, and attachments. Verify documentation and check critical systems such as cabin safety, visibility, electrics, hydraulics, brakes, fluids, tyres or tracks, guards, hitches, and ROPS. Record defects, note remedial actions, and confirm operator sign-off to keep equipment safe, compliant, and ready for use under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Daily Plant Checklist
This daily plant checklist helps operators and supervisors perform pre-start inspections on construction equipment such as excavators, dumpers, and rollers. Verify fluid levels, tyres and tracks, hydraulics, alarms and beacons, seat belts, mirrors and visibility, brakes and steering, quick hitch operation, access steps, cab cleanliness, guarding, greasing, refueling access, structural integrity, fire extinguisher, and the presence of the operator manual. Record defects, confirm declarations, and add office comments to maintain compliance and safety.
