It covers risk assessments, record keeping, hygiene, worker health and safety, subcontractor oversight, waste and pollution management, conservation, complaints, recall and withdrawal, food defense, logo use, traceability, mass balance, and food fraud mitigation. Crop Base sections include propagation material, soil management, fertilizer application and storage, water management, integrated pest management, plant protection products, and equipment. The Fruits and Vegetables section addresses site management, substrates, pre‑harvest water and fertilizer controls, hygienic harvest and post‑harvest handling, pest control, labeling, environmental monitoring, and temperature and humidity controls to protect product integrity and food safety.
