Daily PUWER Machine Check for Forestry Equipment
by Mark Whitehead, from the Community
Use this daily PUWER machine check to ensure forestry equipment is safe and compliant before operation. The checklist covers pre start and start up inspections for harvesters, forwarders and skyline excavators, including fluids, tracks or tyres, guards, bolts and frames, lubrication, cameras and windows, emergency stop, brakes, steering and leak checks. Log faults with notes and photos, assign actions to contractors, and verify skyline rigging items such as carriage, wire cables, pulleys, chokers and shackles. Confirm all issues are corrected before use.
