This pre-start checklist helps workers inspect vehicles, plant, and equipment before operation. Items include overall condition and cleanliness; visibility, gauges, and controls; fuel level; wipers and washers; seat belts; drive belts and hoses; lights and beacons; tyres and tracks; safety chains and shackles; brakes and handbrake; plugs and cables; guards; safety lockouts; lubrication points; mud hoses, filters, and tanks; engine bay checks for leaks; and fluid levels for engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, brake, clutch, and power steering. The checklist supports photos, comments, and sign-off to document issues and ensure equipment is safe to use.
