A practical vehicle inspection checklist for drivers to complete a thorough walk-around before or during roadside checks. Assess batteries, lights, mirrors, windshield, fuel tank, suspension, gates and latches, and required decals and registration. Verify driver credentials, annual inspection and insurance, HAZMAT placarding, and straight bill of lading. Check cargo securement, straps, and document photo evidence. Inspect tires, wheels, lug nuts, tread depth, pressures, and backup alarms. Includes sections for attenuator, trailer systems, brake-away, jacks, and signatures for driver and inspector.
