Use this PMT Condition Survey checklist to conduct a comprehensive technical inspection of a vessel. Assess bridge and wheelhouse equipment, navigation systems, communications, alarms, and documentation. Verify hospital and lifesaving appliances, firefighting systems, liferafts, lifeboats, and man overboard equipment. Inspect deck gear, mooring winches, cranes, hatch covers, cargo holds, hull markings, and ballast tanks. Review interior spaces and galley. Audit engine room machinery including main and auxiliary engines, pumps, separators, boilers, controllable pitch propeller, steering gear, bilge and ballast systems, and safety controls. Capture findings, photos, corrective actions, and signatures.
