EASA Part 145.A.40 Equipment, Tools and Material
by Colin Trantham, from the Community
Use this aviation maintenance checklist to assess compliance with EASA Part 145.A.40 requirements for equipment, tools, and materials. Verify manufacturer-specified tooling or approved alternatives, ensure permanent availability or defined procedures for infrequently used tools, and confirm adequate aircraft access equipment and platforms for base maintenance. Check that all tools and test equipment are controlled, calibrated to recognized standards, and fully traceable, with calibration records maintained. Capture reviewed tooling and procedures, and document auditor notes for continuous improvement.
