This site audit checklist helps crews assess traffic control on M1 roadwork sites. Review the traffic management plan and approvals, confirm traffic management centre notification and method statements, and verify compliance with AS NZS 1742.3. Inspect signage spacing and visibility, speed reductions, tapers and lane status, arrow boards, and end road works signs. Check pedestrian access, bus and tram stops, and separation from live traffic. Capture photos of approaches, side roads, tapers and closures. Verify first aid, fire extinguisher, vehicle documents, and supplies of method statements and incident reports. Record equipment condition and personal protective equipment including high visibility clothing, hard hat, steel cap boots, radio, and night gear. Summarize findings, note development and follow up actions, and sign off by crew leader and auditor.
