This IRS departure observation checklist supports aviation ground operations teams in monitoring safe, punctual departures. It covers flight preparation and ramp readiness including FOD clearance, aircraft chocks and cones, PPE, and uniform standards. It guides ADM, team, and baggage briefings, confirms LIRF and NOTOC documentation, and tracks iLoad usage, RTG, and TOBT targets. During departure it verifies timely arrival of the full team, baggage processes, communication with loading and baggage crews, and safety controls such as rail engagement and cone removal only after holds are closed. Post departure, it prompts final load confirmation, documentation sign off, and stand checks. A behaviours section assesses leadership, accountability, communication, time management, and resilience to drive continuous improvement and on time performance.
