Monthly Environmental Visual Inspection Checklist
by Brittany Frields, from the Community
This monthly environmental visual inspection checklist helps facilities with fuel and oil storage verify compliance with UST/AST requirements, SPCC plans, and local permits. It covers administrative tasks, training of Class A/B/C operators, daily and weekly inspections, ATG alarms, waste documentation, and display of required permits. Field checks include housekeeping, spill kit placement and stocking, tank labeling, containment integrity, alarms, overfill prevention, vents, and emergency stops. It also guides inspection of dispensers, sumps, spill buckets, and signage, with prompts to document findings and notify responsible operators.
