Weekly/Monthly Site Safety Inspection Checklist
by Ray Carr, from the Community
This weekly or monthly site safety inspection checklist helps construction teams perform comprehensive audits across critical safety areas. Verify site documentation, inductions, RAMS, and training. Check first aid kits and eyewash, fire prevention measures, alarms and hot works permits. Review site security, signage, and perimeter controls. Assess PPE compliance, housekeeping, storage, waste, and road cleanliness. Inspect trip and fall controls, excavations, ladders, and work at height. Evaluate manual handling, hand and power tools, mobile plant, machinery certification, and operator competency. Confirm electrical safety, COSHH and fuel storage, spill kits, and chemical registers. Include confined space permits, gas monitoring, emergency plans, and environmental controls for waste, dust, noise, and runoff. Conclude with photos and sign-off by the inspector and site supervisor.
