This forklift pre-use inspection checklist helps operators verify vehicle readiness and site safety before each shift. Review forks, carriage, mast, lift chains, tires, wheels, hydraulics, energy source (gas, diesel, or electric), operator’s compartment, access steps, lights and alarms, seatbelt, ignition and gauges, controls, brakes, and exhaust. Include a workplace scan for obstructions, uneven ground, traffic, utilities, debris, and weather risks to ensure safe, compliant operations.
