This pre-dispatch driver checklist helps ensure commercial drivers and fleets meet safety and regulatory requirements before each trip. Verify driver credentials such as license and medical card; confirm all lighting and door markings; review ELD logs, DVIR, and cab book documentation; check HAZMAT placards and permits for oversize or overweight loads; and ensure license plate and registration are current.
