Engine Checklist for Unattended Machinery Space E-0
by Yuliia Demshevska, from the Community
Use this Unattended Machinery Space (E-0) engine room checklist to support safe, compliant ship operations when the engine room is not continuously manned. The template guides engineers through essential UMS checks including steering gear integrity, bridge and control room alarm tests, fire and smoke detection activation, verification of low- and high-pressure fuel and lube oil lines, jacketed high-pressure pipe sheathing, bow thruster motor bearings, and inspection of LO and FO tanks, heaters, coolers, purifiers, and fixed firefighting systems. Confirm fire pumps and remote operations are set to auto, and document findings to maintain E-0 readiness and reduce equipment and safety risks.
