This electric lift truck inspection template helps operators and technicians assess overall safety and readiness before use. Review visual components including overhead guard, mast, capacity plate and decals, tires and wheels, seat and seat belt, and signs of leaks or damage. Check brakes (foot and park), steering, linkages, cylinders, frame, hood and latches, counterweight bolts, dash and floor coverings. Verify electrical systems such as displays, battery, lights, alarms, wiring, and connections. Evaluate powertrain and cooling systems, and inspect mast and hydraulics: forks, load backrest, channels and rollers, carriage, lift chains, attachments, cylinders, and hoses. Conduct an operational test drive, confirm seat switch, lighting, fire extinguisher, operator manual, horn, and housekeeping. Record fluid levels and lubrication for engine oil, coolant, transmission, differential, brake, and hydraulic oils. Capture CSA annual inspection status, next due date, comments, and signatures.
