E-Bike Daily Pre-Operational Safety Check
by Michael Carpenter, from the Community
This e-bike daily pre-operational safety checklist helps riders and supervisors confirm an e-bike is safe and road-ready before use. Inspect handlebars, tyre pressures for common wheel sizes, treads and spokes, chain tension, pedals and brakes. Verify battery charge and lock, power assist and control panel operation, seat condition, wiring integrity, and presence of a lock. Check front and rear lights, bell, stand, and reflectors. Ensure helmet is sanitised and fits, and a hi-vis vest is in good condition. Capture the rider’s signature to document compliance.
