Goodwill Industries Safety Inspection Checklist
by Ryan Webster, from the Community
This Goodwill Industries retail safety checklist helps supervisors and teams assess store and donation facility conditions across key areas. Review building services and utilities, machines and tools, and equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, trash compactors, and balers. Verify eyewash availability at battery charging areas, fire extinguishers and suppression system inspections, and absence of impairments. Check storage and sales floor displays, ergonomics and manual material handling, lighting and walking surfaces, handrails, first aid supplies, and housekeeping. Confirm OSHA postings, evacuation drills, and routine safety training, then capture best practices, recommendations, and comments.
