Re-entry Safety Checklist for Cyclones and Floods
by Allan Wilson, from the Community
This visual safety checklist helps teams determine if it is safe to re-enter buildings after cyclones and floods. It guides a rapid visual assessment of structural integrity, roof condition and water ingress, exterior hazards and drainage, car parks, access and egress, solar arrays and electrical systems, plumbing and sewage, gas systems, and indoor air quality. Inspect interior walls, ceilings, floors, furniture and equipment, and look for pests, debris, broken windows, and flood evidence. Document findings, verify compliance, and capture approvals before occupancy.
