Weekly Fire Alarm and Extinguisher Check

This weekly checklist helps facility teams verify fire safety readiness across a site. Inspect and activate manual call points and confirm sounders operate correctly at each fire point in the foyer, plant room, arena, and store room. Check that water, foam, powder, and CO2 extinguishers are present, have intact tags, and show full or correct pressure on gauges. Ensure required information signage is in place adjacent to each extinguisher and confirm emergency lighting functions across all areas. Use the documented procedure to place the system in test with the control room before alarm activation and restore monitoring afterward. Capture findings and signatures to maintain compliance and audit trails.
