Play Area Inspection Checklist Version 5
by Duncan Gilchrist, from the Community
Use this Version 5 Play Area Inspection checklist to assess the safety and condition of public and school playgrounds. It guides inspectors through site access, signage, fencing, surfacing such as tarmac, tiles, wet pour, sand and bark, and equipment including swings, slides, rotating and rocking items, climbing frames, multi play units, aerial runways, and games areas. Check for corrosion, secure fixings, trip hazards, adequate surfacing depth, cleanliness, accessibility, and wear. Includes sections for photos, contractor notes, and sign off to document findings and corrective actions.
