Use this NPSP playground inspection checklist to assess public play spaces and document safety issues. Inspect swings seats, chains, frames, S-hooks, and surfaces, play stations, slides including chute, ladder, platform, and softfall, and rockers and seesaws including springs, handles, seats, and soft fall. Record location, playground name, inspection type and date, inspector name and signature. Note additional equipment and defects to support maintenance, compliance, and risk reduction for local government parks.
