This weekly Legionella flushing checklist supports in-house water safety control across your site. Follow a structured regime every Monday, or Tuesday if Monday is a bank holiday. Run all hot and cold outlets for 5 minutes and flush toilet cisterns twice to prevent stagnation. Record the site, date, and preparer, then document each outlet and cistern (e.g., staff and student toilets, staffroom, science labs, kitchens, gym, external taps) including pass/fail or N/A. Capture notes on issues found for follow-up. Use this template to standardize flushing routines, maintain records, and demonstrate compliance with Legionella control procedures.
