Residential Gas Heater Service Checklist
by Diarmaid Gallagher, from the Community
Use this residential gas heater service checklist to guide safe, thorough maintenance. Record project and site details, manufacturer, model and year, and whether the unit is flued or unflued. Clean the heater and filter, clean the pilot light, test gas pressure in kPa, and capture carbon monoxide readings. Check ventilation and note compliance with AS/NZS 5601, document non-compliances or required variations, attach photos of model plates and readings, and log damages.
