Use this Fire Maintenance Report template to maintain compliance with BS 5839-1:2017 and keep building fire protection systems in working order. The checklist covers alarm control panels, repeater panels, power supplies, and batteries; detector placement and condition; manual call points; sounder circuits and beacons; and key ancillary functions such as door retainers, plant, gas and lift shutdown, AOV and smoke vents. Record visual inspection findings, ARC notifications and tests, and certification steps including log book updates and paperwork sign-off. Capture engineer and client signatures, add media evidence, and note actions or variations. Optional sections include emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, sprinklers, suppression systems, fire doors, nurse call or refuge systems, and 24-hour monitoring.
