Fire Drill Checklist and Evacuation Assessment
by Malachi Connell, from the Community
This fire drill checklist helps safety coordinators evaluate end to end evacuation drills. It covers communication and alarm activation, evacuation route signage and egress conditions, alarm audibility and monitoring, shutdown of utilities and HVAC, participation and accountability of occupants and visitors, fire containment measures like doors and extinguishers, and plan performance including team response and meeting points. Capture overall response, noise level, total evacuees, and recommendations, then sign off to improve emergency readiness.
