Exterior Facility Safety Inspection Checklist
by Kevin Bernier, from the Community
This exterior facility safety inspection checklist covers key checks across roof areas, gates and fencing, parking lots, gas lines, and electrical vaults. It guides reviews of housekeeping, walkways, lighting, security gates and cameras, PPE compliance, fall protection, scaffolds and ladders, vehicles and mobile equipment, tools and electrical panels, and grounding. Life-critical controls include permits, JSAs, posted policies, emergency plans, muster points, first aid readiness, eye wash and emergency lighting. Environmental controls address leaks, containment, spill response, stormwater, and waste. Material handling, rigging and lifting, and fire protection (cylinders, storage, extinguishers) are verified, with follow-up on previous inspection actions.
