Gymnastics Equipment Setup and Safety Check
by Russell Macaloney, from the Community
Use this daily checklist to prepare and inspect a gymnastics arena before classes or events. Verify condition and setup of key apparatus including mushrooms, pommel horses, rings, beams, bars, spring boards, trampettes, mats, vault tables, tumble tracks, wall padding, foam pits, and stretching frames. Record tears, frays, loose hardware, missing velcro, damaged padding, and malfunctioning adjusters. Confirm safe positioning, secure fixings, inflation levels, and cleanliness (chalk control). Capture issues for follow-up and obtain supervisor signature to ensure the facility is safe, compliant, and ready for use.
