Use this ventilation checklist to evaluate ventilation systems in mining sites. Record ventilation method exhausting, forced, combined or natural, list equipment in use, and rate its condition. Capture dust sources, how emissions are controlled and monitored, and the device used. Identify pollutant sources such as workers, machines, blasting, broken ore and fires. Log gases monitored O2, CO2, CH4, CO, NOx, SO2, H2 and H2S, instruments used, measurement frequency and limits. Note weather conditions including air velocity, humidity, dry and wet bulb temperatures. Summarize findings, highlight parameters that pose risk, and document actions. Includes fields for mine name, operator, location, inspection date and inspector.
