Standard 18 Weekly Geotechnical Inspection Checklist

This Standard 18 checklist supports weekly geotechnical inspections of active sand and gravel tips and unprocessed material stockpiles at quarries. It guides supervisors to check stockpile heights, overhangs, access, cracking at the crest, water ingress and ponding, settlement, bulging, toe movement, ramp gradients, drainage obstructions, and signs of scour or discharge. Record observations, note concerns, recommend remedial actions, notify geotechnical specialists when required, attach evidence, and complete sign off.
