PRETIVM General Workplace Inspection

This PRETIVM general workplace inspection checklist helps teams evaluate safety across mining sites. Review site access, housekeeping, lighting, and completion of risk assessments. Verify permits for ground disturbance, hot work, and confined space, and confirm appropriate PPE and controls. Check rigging and lifting practices, mobile equipment pre operation inspections, spill kits, tools, and electrical and hose conditions. Assess barricading, ladders, and scaffolding. Include shop and building checks for exits, evacuation plans, noise, ventilation, dust control, storage, sanitation, flammable materials, spill containment, SDS availability, electrical access, first aid, eyewash, and fire extinguishers. Record positive findings, note unsafe conditions, assign corrective actions, and track responsible persons and due dates.
