Use this fatal risk control verification checklist to manage fall from height hazards when using non fixed work platforms, removable handrails and ladders on mining sites. The guide references AS NZS 1657 for fixed platforms, walkways, stairways and ladders and AS NZS 1892 for portable ladders. Critical Risk Inspection for Ladders and Mobile Platforms
Use this critical risk inspection checklist to assess the condition and safe use of fixed and non fixed ladders and mobile platforms. Verify ladder registers and IDs, rung condition, anti slip feet, and absence of corrosion. For fixed ladders check cages, fall arrest provisions, access and obstructions. For platforms confirm SWL marking, guardrails, toe boards, floor mesh, walkway clearances, wheels, and handrails. Record non conformances, assign actions, and track corrections to strengthen site safety.
