Fire Critical Control Verification Checklist
by Gerald Visagie, from the Community
This mining checklist helps teams verify critical controls to prevent fire incidents. It covers combustible material storage, adequate ventilation, functional fire detection and suppression for fixed and mobile equipment, evacuation and muster planning, and hot work permit requirements. Use it to confirm controls are implemented and maintained before and during tasks, and to stop work and reassess risks if controls are ineffective.
