Diamond Drill Site Inspection Checklist
by Echo Project Geologist, from the Community
This weekly inspection checklist supports safe, compliant surface diamond drilling operations. It covers general site conditions, personnel PPE and fatigue management, safety signage and emergency response posting, first aid and fire equipment, lockout tagout, CO detection, electrical grounding, and fall arrest. Drill rig-specific checks include guarding, emergency stops, drill shack integrity, hydraulic line protection, labeling, rod storage, lighting, and flow meter. It also reviews core handling practices, housekeeping to prevent slips and trips, and environmental controls for hydrocarbons, sumps and cuttings, spill prevention, and use of drip trays. Final sign-off sections capture supervisor and client representative approvals.
